NMN Designs® Great Dane Diners. Elevated Living, One Meal at a Time.
Beautiful Furniture, Made for a Gentle Giant
Found in some of the finest homes and chosen by interior designers, our Great Dane dog bowls are true furniture pieces, not pet supplies. They're made from sculptural wrought iron, architectural steel, gleaming 304 stainless steel and warm solid hardwood. A Great Dane is regal, graceful and larger than life, and deserves a dining place worthy of that stature. Tall raised dog bowls bring food and water up to your giant's level. That means far less stooping at the neck and front legs, a real comfort for senior Danes and dogs with stiff joints, and one elegant piece in place of scattered floor dishes.
The Perfect Height for a Great Dane
The top of the stand should sit at your dog's chest midpoint or lower. Adult Great Danes stand about 28" – 32" or more at the shoulder. Between sizes? Choose the shorter stand.
- 18" Stand, Most Great Danes: The sweet spot for the majority of adult Danes. Choose from Slate, Baron, Pyramid, Moretti, Libro and Mesh XL.
- 15" Stand, Smaller Females, Mastiffs & Adolescents: Choose from Baron XL, Libro, Mesh XL and Henry.
- 24" Stand, Exceptionally Tall Giants: For the tallest Danes and Irish Wolfhounds. Measure first, since 24" is too tall for most dogs.
Raising a Great Dane puppy? Giant breeds keep growing for up to two years. Start with a 10" – 12" stand from our large dog collection and move up as your puppy grows.
Designer Style, Built for Giant Breeds
- Grounded and Stable: At 110 – 175 lbs, a Great Dane needs a stand that won't budge. Heavy-gauge wrought iron and steel, single-piece construction and no-slip rubber feet keep each stand firmly in place.
- Drool-Ready, Pristine Floors: Noise-free rubber rims keep meals calm. For big drinkers and famous Dane drool, finish the look with our waterproof silicone mat, made to fit under our diners. It catches splashes and adds extra grip, in black or gray.
- Single or Double: A single stand works beautifully as a raised dog food bowl or a raised dog water bowl. A double diner pairs food and water in one statement piece.
- Indoor & Outdoor: Heavy-weight Libro Outdoor (15" / 18") makes a refined outdoor dog feeding station for the deck or patio.
The Bowls: Where Quality Really Shows
Every diner comes with removable, high-quality stainless steel dog bowls, up to 3 quarts on our XL stands.
- Our Signature Bowl (201 Stainless Steel), Included With Nearly Every Diner: 201 is the stainless steel most widely used across the pet bowl industry. Ours are food-safe, heavy-duty and finished with our distinctive rubber rim, which keeps each bowl snug in the stand so it won't slide, spin or clatter.
- The Upgrade: Human Food-Grade (304 Stainless Steel): For the ultimate in hygiene and corrosion resistance. Its higher nickel content makes it the same quality used in premium human cookware. It's standard on our Slate diners, a hallmark of NMN Designs, and available as an extra set.
Keep a spare set on hand. A giant dog goes through a lot of water, and a spare set means a clean bowl is always ready while the other is in the dishwasher. Shop extra 304 bowl sets or extra 201 bowl sets.
Raised Dog Bowls with Slow Feeder
Fast eating and gulping air are a concern for deep-chested giants. Every diner can be paired with a slow feeder:
- Extra Bowl Set with 1 Slow Feed Pad (Most Popular): A removable silicone pad turns a standard bowl into a slow feeder. It comes in 304 and 201 sets.
- The "Not-So-Fast" Bowl: A 3-quart, 201 stainless slow feeder made for large dogs. Get it in a one-click large dog slow feeder set or as an add-on.

Quick Facts: Elevated Dog Bowls for Great Danes
- How tall should a Great Dane's dog bowl be? Most adult Great Danes fit an 18" stand. Smaller females and Mastiffs often fit 15", and only exceptionally tall giants need 24". The top of the stand should sit at your dog's chest midpoint or lower.
- Are raised dog bowls good for Great Danes? Many owners and vets like them because a very tall dog can eat without stooping deeply at the neck and front legs. That's especially helpful for senior Danes and dogs with neck or joint discomfort.
- Do elevated dog bowls cause bloat in Great Danes? Great Danes have the highest bloat (GDV) risk of any breed, so this question matters. A widely cited 2000 Purdue study found an association between raised feeders and bloat in large and giant breeds, though no direct cause has been confirmed and the research is mixed. Talk with your vet about feeding height and bloat prevention for your Dane. A slow feed bowl helps pace fast eaters.
- What are the best elevated dog bowls for Great Danes? A heavy, stable stand at your Dane's measured height, usually 18", with removable stainless bowls. Popular picks include Slate 18" (304 stainless), Pyramid XL (18" / 24" wrought iron), Baron XL, Moretti XL and heavy-weight Libro.
- What size bowl does a Great Dane need? Dogs drink roughly 1 ounce of water per pound each day, which can be 14 – 22 cups for a 110 – 175 lb Dane. Choose the largest bowls available, and keep a spare set for easy refills.
- 201 vs. 304 stainless steel dog bowls? Both are food-safe, durable stainless steel. 201 is the most common grade in quality pet bowls and comes standard with NMN Designs diners, with a rubber rim to prevent sliding. 304 (human food-grade) is the premium upgrade, standard on Slate, with higher nickel content for extra corrosion resistance.
