Modern and Architectural  Outdoor and Indoor Fiberglass Planters, Pots, Planter Box and Span Planters.

Modern organic farmhouse entryway, 3 front porch planters with evergreens on a patio area near front door. Ainslie by NMN Designs

The Ainslie Planter by NMN Designs®.
Modern Organic Shape Meets Timeless Greenery

NMN Designs® fiberglass planters are modern, commercial-grade planters for indoor and outdoor use. Made from shatterproof fiberglass that is frost-proof and UV-stable, they range from 9.5" tabletop pots to 38" troughs and 30" extra large cubes, in matte, gloss and faux-concrete finishes. Most larger models are steel-reinforced so long walls won't bow, and every planter has drainage holes with watertight plugs for indoor use. Each one is artisan-crafted in India and sold manufacturer direct.

Why Designers Choose NMN Designs Fiberglass Planters

Plastic and resin troughs bow once they're filled with soil; concrete and ceramic are heavy and can crack in a hard frost. Commercial-grade fiberglass solves both, with the stability of masonry and a lightweight profile you can move yourself. These modern planters are architectural, with clean lines and no ornament, in matte black, white and gray, glossy white, gray and green, or faux concrete. A black planter grounds a bright room; a white planter lifts a dark entrance.

NMN Designs is manufacturer direct. We design our own planters and sell them to you ourselves, with fair pricing and help from selection to delivery. We're a family business near Chicago and have served the home and garden industry for more than 20 years.

The Science: Why Large Fiberglass Planters Need Steel Reinforcement

Steel reinforcement is one of the most important features that set our larger fiberglass planters apart. Long, tall and extra-large planters tend to "belly" as heavy, wet soil pushes the walls outward. NMN Designs builds an internal steel frame into most of its larger models, including the Julian, Aster, Hamilton and Seeley, so the walls stay straight season after season, from a Canadian winter to a Texas summer.

      Choosing the Right Shape

      Shape

      Planters

      Best for

      Square planter

Seeley cube planter (14"–30"), including the 30" extra large planter, as tall as it is wide; Dharti, low (12" H)

Pairs at a door, a tree planter (24"–30"), a tall-and-large statement piece (30"), raised beds and pathway markers (Dharti)

      Rectangular planter

      Julian trough planter (24" H), Winona (17" H), Thomas faux concrete planter (16" H)

Lining walkways, deck rails and café tables

      Tall planter

      Hamilton, a true tall narrow planter (23" L x 12" W x 30" H); Aster, longer, with interior plant shelf (38" L x 29" H)

      Privacy screens, room dividers, balconies

      Round planter pot

Ainslie, Scandi-style cylinder or glossy bullet (9.5"–23.5")

A soft curve among straight lines; statement plants

      Small fiberglass planters

      Ainslie, Seeley 14", Alora (9.5"–24")

Tabletops and windowsills; groups of three in staggered sizes

      Where to Use Fiberglass Planters

Pair front door planters at an entrance, line a patio with rectangular fiberglass planter boxes, or run tall fiberglass planters along a balcony railing. On roof decks, lightweight fiberglass goes where concrete is too heavy. The Aster's interior shelf sits 9" below the rim, so you can drop plants in still in their nursery pots and swap them by season, with no need to fill all 29" with soil. On windy decks, add 3" of gravel at the base to keep tall planters steady. Low Dharti planters define pathways in plazas and courtyards without blocking sightlines. Indoors, they suit lobbies, offices, storefronts and modern homes. For more outdoor ideas, see our fiberglass outdoor planters.

      Privacy and Dividing Spaces

Tall planter boxes for privacy do the job of a fence without the permanence: a 30" planter with 3 feet of ornamental grass makes a screen about 5.5 feet high. Indoors, planter dividers zone a dining area or an open-plan office. On restaurant patios, barrier planters define the seating area and move when the layout changes. For a hedge, line up 24" or 30" Seeley cubes planted with evergreens, or 20" cubes with tall grasses for a lighter screen.
